Sleeplessness

Feeling like a beached whale more and more each day. The nights are long and mostly sleepless. I guess that's just God's way of prepping for the sleepless nights associated with raising a newborn. Seem to do my best painting work from 10p-3am. Here are some more animal pics of TW mural. Just need to do some flowers, long grass, and butterflies before moving onto the arches..

More Animals

PEANUT BUTTER HAIR GEL!

Here are some up close pics of more animals in the foreground. Still have to draw and paint a herd of elk in the distance, moose, bunnies, soaring hawk, and lots of flowers and long grass. Little by little, getting there. Feeling good about how it's looking with the approval of Miss Rose everyday as she scope's out mommy's progress from the night before.

Week 35 Checkup

We had another good checkup yesterday. Did a fast ultrasound to make sure TW's was head down, which he/she is and got to see some practice breathing, which the dr. said was an excellent sign of good health and development. Sienna really enjoyed seeing the ultrasound as well. Dr. reported that I am already dilated 1cm. Eek, need to finish TW"s room! Progress on the mural is coming along quickly now, got the first animals in yesterday and a few more tonight. Hoping to be finished with everything inside the arches by Sunday and rolling on the stone work. Having lots of uncomfortable Braxton Hicks contractions again, and needed to lay down periodically for some relief. Been having difficulty putting myself to bed at a reasonable hour on nights Shannon is doing dueling pianos. Being a night owl is hard when you have a toddler that doesn't have a snooze button.

A night of progress

Mural progress going slower than hoped but getting there. I am now 35 weeks and after consulting the pregnancy journal I kept with Sienna, I was just finishing her mural at this point. So I have a ways to go with this one, but actually thought I was further behind with this mural/pregnancy progress than I actually am. Enjoy chatting with my Mommy or Sheena while painting, I find I am more efficient and creative when I'm working while thinking about other things. Must be a touch of that ADD or something. So I have the hills and path painted in now and drew in most of the animals/details tonight as well as painting in the foreground tree. Some fun pics of the night's progress... Notice that the webcam flips the picture, so that's why it all seems a little backwards, in case you were wondering.

Chatting with my Mommy!

Research pics all over the mural for the details and the base coat leaf color for the foreground tree.

Teenie Weenie Dr. Visit

Went for a checkup today and all looking good so far. Dr. thinks teenie weenie has finally flipped, as he/she was breech up to this point, and I was getting worried about the possibility of a looming C-section. Miss Rose and Shannon always accompany me to the Dr. visits, and she was in talkative spirits today saying "Hi Wendy!" to the nurse and telling the Dr. that we want to "hear heartbeat!" Sienna's prediction is that she will have a baby brother and he will be born on a Friday. We'll see! Maybe she's more than just a brilliant toddler and falls into the psychic kids category. Maybe we can get a visit from Chip Coffee (for those sci-fi geeks out there). ;) Sienna also felt her first teenie weenie movements today, some hiccups! She wanted to kiss and hug my belly a lot after feeling that.
